Senior computer science major Sean Dodd placed first in the varsity division of International Public Debate Association competition at Louisiana State University at Shreveport Nov. 9-11.

The tournament was attended by 28 colleges and universities from seven states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Dodd defeated a student from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in the final round of varsity IPDA debate.
