Dr. Dennis Combs, assistant professor of psychology, was featured in an ABC News story on a treatment intervention for schizophrenia.
The intervention is called Social Cognition and Interaction Training.
"The treatment attempts to improve the social cognitive deficits in schizophrenia such as poor emotion recognition, hostility and blame," said Combs. "We recently received a grant funding to conduct further research on this treatment with Dr. David Penn from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill."
