Dr. Ali Azghani, associate professor of biology, was the site coordinator for the North Texas Chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals presentation of "Fraud at Investigator Sites: Tales from the Trenches and Lessons Learned."

The program, sponsored by the Minnesota Chapter of the ACRP, was Aug. 9 at UT Tyler. It reviewed several case studies of fraud committed by clinical research investigators. The cases helped participants identify indicators and warning signs of fraud, methods to aid in detection and investigation and the difficult issues surrounding reporting fraud.
