Anita Crockett, international admissions representative at The University of Texas at Tyler, was one of seven people selected from the U.S. region consisting of Texas Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas to attend NAFSA academy spring training.
The training is set for March 5-8 in Atlanta, Ga.
The program is developed by NAFSA: Association of International Educators to provide a comprehensive view of international education while allowing individuals to tailor the program to their learning needs.
She also will attend the NAFSA annual conference to be held May 25-30 in Washington, D.C. and receive additional training through workshops and a free 18-month membership to NAFSA.
"This is a great opportunity not only for me to represent UT Tyler but to gain valuable knowledge and resources," she said.
NAFSA: Association of International Educators is a member organization promoting international education and providing professional development opportunities to the field. Hundreds of NAFSA members volunteer to serve the association and advocate for international education.
