Samantha Dwight, health educator within the UT Tyler Student Services' Wellness and Education program, recently served as an university volunteer bringing water bottles to law enforcement on July 4 for the second "No-Refusal Weekend" appreciation event held by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
"I enjoyed the opportunity to show appreciation for the efforts of law enforcement in reducing the number of intoxicated drivers on the roads, particularly over the Fourth of July weekend," Dwight said. "I cherish the relationship we have built with both MADD and law enforcement on issues impacting the health and safety of our students."
Dwight holds a bachelor of arts and is currently pursuing a master of arts in interdisciplinary studies from UT Tyler.
