U.S. News and World Report has cited Dr. Dennis Combs, assistant professor of psychology, on his continuing research on paranoia.
"We have found that a number of persons report high levels of paranoid ideation, and this group includes college students," he said. "In addition, college students who are high in paranoid ideation show similar biases in cognitive processing as do persons with schizophrenia."
Combs serves as director of the Psychotic Disorders Research Laboratory within the Department of Psychology. He holds a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University.
"Our lab is currently investigating how persons with paranoia respond to failure experiences and how these persons examine emotions by using our state of the art eye tracker technology," he added.
