UT Tyler alumna Miranda Azzam was featured on the cover of the Sept. 14 issue of Business Week (businessweek.com).
She currently is a college recruiter for Aflac Insurance and manages a new Web ad campaign for campus recruiting.
Azzam, 26, graduated from the business program at UT Tyler in 2006.
Aflac offers supplemental, dental, vision, cancer, disability and other insurance policies as well as employee benefits for individuals and businesses.

Mark Washburn, senior lecturer in accounting, was elected to serve a two-year term on the Accounting Information Systems Educator Association board of directors.
He will serve as sponsorship director.
The mission of AISEA is to develop skills of AIS educators. Formed in 1999, the association is a non-profit, international organization of accounting professors.
Washburn holds a master of science in taxation degree from UT Arlington and a bachelor of business administration degree from UT Tyler. He is currently a second-year DBA student at Nova Southeastern University. Memberships include American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accounts-East Texas Chapter and American Accounting Association.
