Promising BSN prepared nurses will enroll directly into the PhD program with the opportunity to complete the degree in four years of full-time study, rather than the five required if a MSN and PhD were earned sequentially.

Learning Objectives
The online program prepares nurse leaders for careers in education and research and will include emphasis in health priorities that have applicability nationally and internationally.
The program prepares nurse leaders to:
- Design, conduct, and disseminate research that contributes to the advancement of nursing science.
- Conduct culturally competent research to guide nursing practice.
- Incorporate research outcomes to formulate policies pertinent to nursing and health, both nationally and internationally.
- Research, construct and implement creative and innovative strategies related to education for nursing and health.
