College of Nursing
Sigma Theta Tau
The members of the Board are excited by the great things happening within the Iota Nu Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing. Our Chapter has just celebrated its 20th year and we have grown to a membership of over 400 active members.
It is because of that awesome membership body that we have been able to be involved in some exciting activities such as
- the Guatemala School of Nursing Project
- the Annual Relay for Life
- the Alzheimer's Walk
We also continue to strive to provide our membership with great presentations that are focused on nursing knowledge and research including our Biennial Research Conference and distinguished lecture presentations.
Iota Nu supports the strategic directions of Sigma Theta Tau which is to support professional nurses throughout their careers by offering opportunities for
- leadership development
- knowledge generation and dissemination
- service to the community and the profession
- and the collegiality of others who are passionate about nursing.
I encourage you to explore the website and some of the many recent activities and successes of Iota Nu. There is a reason Sigma Theta Tau International Recognized us with a Regional Chapter Excellence Award in 2006 and 2008 and with Key Chapter Status in 2007 and 2009.
We invite you to come and experience all that Sigma Theta Tau and Iota Nu have to offer and we challenge you to take part in some of these exciting activities!
