MSN Admission Information

Entrance Exam Information

Entrance exams are required for the graduate program in the College of Nursing.  For the RN-MSN, MSN-Education, MSN- Administration or the Nurse Practitioner track coordinated with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, the applicant may take either the GRE or MAT. For the MSN/MBA dual degree track, the GMAT is required. 

Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT): A score of 500 or better on the GMAT plus the score of 1000 or above is required for School of Business Administration:  200 x GPA, plus GMAT score.

Graduate Record Examination (GRE)  General Test: A score of 1000 on a combination of the verbal/quantitative portions of the GRE is required.

Miller Analogies Test (MAT): A normative score at or above the 50th percentile for nursing on the MAT is required.
