What is Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF) and why do we need it?

Everyone is welcome at the meetings! NCF currently meets every 2nd and 4th Monday from noon to 12:45 on the main campus and broadcasts to Palestine and Longview via interactive video.  A brown-bag lunch with members providing a dessert is the format.  Typically, the meeting's agenda is:  prayer requests, prayer, devotional and discussion. 

NCF members are involved in on-campus activities as well as community service projects.  The Fall semester focus on Operation Christmas Child with shoe boxes for children in 3rd world countries: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Drop_Off_Locations/#

Another recent focus has been on supporting students and faculty who go to Guatemala (www.refugeinternational.com ) each semester with basic hygiene supplies and fundraisers to help sponsor local Guatemalan nursing students.

Although you do not have to join the national organization to participate in the local meetings, NCF membership is open to nurses and nursing students who affirm NCF’s purpose and basis of faith and want to serve in some aspect of NCF ministry, including local involvement and financial support.   The annual membership fee is $65 for registered nurses, $50 for retirees, and $35 for nursing students.  You may join online at http://ncf.intervarsity.org/
