Membership/Induction

Membership criteria for induction into Sigma Theta Tau International are established by the international organization. These criteria, along with other information about membership in the Honor Society of Nursing, may be accessed at: http://www.nursingsociety.org/membership/main.html

The Iota Nu Chapter inducts new community, graduate student, and undergraduate student members who meet the international criteria each fall. Invitations are sent out early in the fall semester. Community members are recommended by current Iota Nu members or may self-nominate. Questions about membership should be addressed to the senior or junior counselor (listed on the Board of Directors page).

Fall 2007 Induction

In Fall 2007, Iota Nu inducted 55 new members into Sigma Theta Tau International. The event, held at the Ornelas Activity Center on the UT Tyler campus, was organized by Counselors Janice Hawes and Melissa Kling and a lovely reception was held thanks to efforts of members Jeni Chilton and Nancy Ballard. Welcome new members!!
