PROOF OF SELECTIVE SERVICE REGISTRATION

Section 651.005 of the Texas Government Code requires males between the ages of 18 and 26 must provide evidence of their registration with the selective service system or proof of their exemption from selective service prior to hiring. If you meet the criteria for registration, please provide us with a photocopy of your selective service card or your exemption when you return this application. If you are registered but do not have your card or if you need to register you can go to website http://www.sss.gov. If you need assistance with this website the Office of Human Resources at U.T. Tyler can help you. You are not eligible for employment with The University of Texas at Tyler unless you provide this information on or before your first day of employment.
