Orientation Registration

Do I need to be advised before I register for Orientation?

Yes. All new students are encouraged to set up an appointment with an Academic Advisor prior to orientation by calling 903.565.5718. During the advising session, students will receive information about course requirements and be able to register early for their fall courses. In order to complete the registration process, the student must have paid the freshman deposit and have THEA scores on file or proof of THEA exemptions. If you have any questions, contact the Academic Advising Center.

How do I register for Orientation?

All freshmen that have been officially accepted to the university will receive an invitation by mail no later than June 22, 2007 to register for Freshman Orientation. Students will need to complete the enclosed reply card and send it, along with a check or money order, to the address provided. What is the cost of Orientation?

Payment postmarked on or before July 15:
Student- $60; Family Members- $35
Payment postmarked after July 15:
Student- $70; Family Members- $45

I've registered for Orientation, now what?

After sending back your registration form and payment for orientation, you will receive a confirmation letter from us. That confirmation letter includes the dates of orientation, the amount paid, the names of any guests who might be attending with you, and other important university information you'll want to know before arriving on campus.
