Making An Impact: Significant Findings from the Perryman Report
UT Tyler is one of the fastest growing higher education institutions in the nation. The number of full-time equivalent students grew a dramatic 81.5% between 1999 and 2004.
UT Tyler graduates are well prepared for success. There is an excellent match between the programs offered at UT Tyler and the professions to be highest demand in coming years.
East Texas schoolchildren are taught daily by UT Tyler alumni. Serving in teaching and administrative roles, graduates of UT Tyler are leaders in East Texas public and private schools where they impact 20% of all students.
The current economic impact of UT Tyler throughout East Texas which will increase significantly with future growth anticipated at the University.
With a nursing college larger than UT Austin, UT Tyler has graduated four of every ten registered nurses in East Texas.
Each year, 26,000 East Texans enjoy the performing arts at the UT Tyler’s Cowan Center. The University serves as the region’s only venue for international entertainers.
