Mark is an Assistant Professor of Political Science. His area of expertise is teaching courses about the development and organization of American political institutions, as well as classes that study the policy-making process. 

Mark's research ha
s focused on how changes within political institutions have affected policy outcomes by studying the sponsorship of amendments and the role of bicameralism on budgetary policy.  His research also looks at the electoral connection in how variation within a constituency effects the positions legislators take on policy.
