ABOUT THE CAMP:
The UT Tyler Maine Outdoor Adventure Camp is designed to meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. Accordingly, there is a smorgasbord of training opportunities to select from each day. All campers will be participating in activities including canoeing, kayaking, open water swimming, hiking, beach trips, sea kayaking and a lobster feed. Finally, each camper has the opportunity to receive one-on-one counseling on planning their fitness training.
Attention Runners and Triathletes:
Maine offers some of the best running, biking and open water swimming opportunities in the world. Bring your shoes, bike, and suit and have the best training experience EVER!

3 Day 2 Night Canoe & Camping Trip on the St. Croix River
Coastal Island Sea Kayak Day
Beach Activities
Hiking
Mountain Biking
Lake Kayaking and Canoeing
Acadia National Park Activities
Optional Morning Fitness Training to include:

1. Includes: Group airfare to Maine; Rooms, Lunch, Dinner, all activities, local transportation

BOB HEPLER– CAMP DIRECTOR
Bob is the Director of the Herrington Patriot Center/Head Cross Country Coach at the University of Texas at Tyler and the former Director of Athletics & Recreational Sports at the University of Maine at Machias. He is the 05, 06, and 2007 American Southwest Coach of the Year. He is also and Eagle Scout. Bob has competed in over 140 triathlons including seven Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. He is a nine-time triathlon All American and has won over 40 triathlons. He also has two Masters degrees and wants to work with athletes who love the outdoors and to train!
