Requirements for training are found here.
If you have taken CITI training or some other form of human subject protections training at another institution, please submit documentation of training to Dr. Gloria Duke at email@example.com. She will review the completed training, when it was last completed, and if it meets UT Tyler training requirements.
It is best that if you have taken any other training besides CITI, to go ahead and take the CITI training as it is the University required training.
Please note, that because every institution can design their CITI modules differently all course work does not always transfer over, and could make it appear as though your courses are incomplete. It will be best to keep the completion reports from your original institution saved and submit them with any IRB paper work you plan to submit to the IRB chair even after affiliating with UT Tyler.
We do not track program CITI requirements for CEs, Practica, or Graduation, you will need to contact your department to determine which course(s) you will need to take.
We ONLY determine if the CITI requirements have been met for researchers involved in human subjects research that is under the purview of The University of Texas at Tyler IRBs.
For technical questions regarding the CITI webpage, please contact the CITI support desk at (305) 243-7970 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or follow the links below for assistance.
It is the responsibility of the PI and research staff to keep track of CITI completion reports. These reports can be obtained by selecting the "Print Completion Report" button found when viewing your completed courses.

Please make sure you have affiliated your account with UT Tyler. Do NOT create a new account!
To participate in ongoing research activities, the Social & Behavioral Research Basic, Biomedical Investigators must be renewed every 3 years by taking the corresponding Refresher Course. Initial IRB approvals, modifications, renewals and other mid-research submissions will not be approved without verification of up-to-date researcher training.
