Refund Preference

ATTENTION:  All New and Returning Students - Changes Regarding Your Refund Preference

Effective Januay 1, 2019, your existing refund preference (P2 card and ACH) will no longer be valid.  You will receive an email on Friday, November 9, 2018 with instructions on how to select your new refund preference.

If you currently have your refund going to the silver stripe of your P2 card(student ID), it is very important to read the following information:

  • After December 31, 2018, UT Tyler and you will not be able to load any further funds on your P2 card.
  • After December 31, 2018, if applicable, you should stop any direct deposts you have scheduled to your P2 card.
  • Prior to February 1, 2019, if applicable, you should change any automatic payments off of your P2 card.
  • Prior to February 28, 2019, if you have funds on your P2 card, they should be spent.
  • After February 28, 2019, if any funds in excess of $1.00 remain on your P2 card, you will be sent the balance by check to the address associated with the card.
  • If the address associated with your P2 card has changed, you will want to contact Money Network Customer Service right away at 800.822.4283 to provide a current address.
  • Any checks that are not cashed will be treated as unclaimed property.

UT Tyler issues refunds to students according to their refund preference. You will only need to make this choice once. If in the future you would like to change your refund preference, please go to www.moneynetworkedu.com to make the change.  Log in, under My Account, click my school funds, and scroll down to the bottom of the page.  You will see at the top of the list your current refund preference.  If you are are satisfied with your refund preference, select "I'm Done!" and if you want to change your refund preference, select "I Want to Update" and follow the prompts. 

To ensure your refund will not be delayed, you must also get your Patriot Power Card - student ID (P2 Card) printed with a cashier. Selecting your refund preference does not complete the process. Visit the Cashiers website for more information on how to get your student ID printed.

New students, follow these easy steps today to make sure you get your refund fast.

Do You Have Your New Patriot Power Card, Your Money Network® Enable MasterCard®?

Patriot Power Card - smaller

If No,

(1) Log into www.enroll.moneynetworkedu.com using your student ID number, school issued @patriots.uttyler.edu email address and date of birth. 

(2) Select one of the refund preferences:

  • Your bank account via ACH direct deposit (receive funds three to five business days after UT Tyler processes the refund), or
  • The Money Network® Account on the Patriot Power Card - Student ID (receive funds the same business day UT Tyler processes the refund).

Please notice, if you do not select either of these options, you will receive your funds via a paper check, mailed to your home address listed in your Student Center in myUTTyler. May take up to 7 - 10 business days to receive in the mail.

(3) Follow the steps to select and confirm your refund preference.

(4) You will receive a confirmation email to your @patriots.uttyler.edu email address once your selection has been processed. 

If Yes,

(1) Log into www.moneynetworkedu.com to create a username and password. You will need to enter the 16-digit Money Network® Card number on the front of your Patriot Power Card (Student ID).  Selecting your refund preference will be done through the "My School Funds" link on your homepage after fully creating your Money Network account.  Please note: you will need to scroll to the bottom of the following page and click "I want to update". 

(2) Select one of the Refund Preferences:

  • Your bank account via ACH direct deposit (receive funds 3 to 5 business days after UT Tyler processes the refund), or
  • The Money Network® Account on the Patriot Power Card - Student ID (receive funds the same business day UT Tyler processes the refund).

Please notice, if you do not select either of these options, you will receive your funds via a paper check mailed to your home address listed in your Student Center in myUTTyler.  May take up to 7 - 10 business days to receive in the mail.

(3) Under My Accounts, select My School Funds link. Follow the prompts and be sure to select "Submit" for your selection. 

(4) You will receive a confirmation email to your @patriots.uttyler.edu email address once your selection has been processed.
