New Transfer Students Scholarships - The University of Texas at Tyler

New Transfer Students 2006-2007

Students who meet the criteria below will be considered for a Junior College Transfer Presidential Scholarship. This scholarship is for students who have previously attended junior or community colleges only!

Scholarship funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students must apply on-line at: www.uttyler.edu/scholarship

Scholarship application is required and must be submitted by May 1st

Students receiving one of the New Transfer scholarships are not eligible for additional scholarship funding for the summer semesters.

Students can receive only one of the following awards:

Junior College Transfer Presidential Scholarship
Award Amount: up to $2000

To qualify students must:

Be accepted for admission

Be incoming junior/community college transfer student who has completed four regular semesters as a full-time student or a total of 59 semester hours

Enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester (Fall and Spring) at UT Tyler

Have a cumulative 3.3 GPA on all junior/community college course work

Renewal Requirements

Junior College Transfer Presidential Scholarships are renewable for one academic year following the initial award. No application is required for renewal.

Junior College Transfer Presidential Scholarship
To renew scholarship, students must:

Complete 12 credit hours at UT Tyler for the semester(s) awarded

Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA at UT Tyler
