From the economy to criminal justice, sociology and anthropology, the Department of Social Sciences contributes significantly to the study of liberal arts at The University of Texas at Tyler.
Social sciences undergraduate degree programs include the B.S. in criminal justice, B.A./B.S. in economics and the B.A./B.S. in social sciences with a concentration in sociology, anthropology or geography.
The department also offers courses leading to minors in criminal justice, economics, sociology, anthropology and geography.
Social sciences graduate degree programs include the master of science in criminal justice and the master of public administration. Students in the MPA degree program choose from two tracks: generalist MPA and executive health care administration.
