Bachelor of
Science in Criminal Justice
The University of Texas at Tyler offers the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in criminal justice. Objectives of the criminal justice program are to offer students an opportunity to prepare for professional careers in criminal justice, to provide an opportunity for persons currently serving in the criminal justice system to continue their education, to provide courses of instruction that complement the education received by students in related disciplines, and to foster an understanding of the role and function of the criminal justice system. The criminal justice program at UT Tyler is highly respected among local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies. With four full-time faculty, the program is large enough to offer a full range of courses, yet small enough to have an average class size of twenty, and allow for individual attention. Each student has a faculty advisor and is provided with an individualized degree plan to guide him or her through the requirements for the degree. |
