Residence Life and Judicial Affairs

In addition to the convenient apartment housing that Patriot Village and University Pines offer, our new Ornelas Residence Hall officially opened in August, 2006. The new facility features modern accommodations that reflect the needs and interests of today's college student. The office of Residence Life provides a variety of extracurricular programs and leisure activities that promote community and enhance the campus life. This office also conducts the judicial affairs for students to ensure that all students are afforded a positive experience while attending UT Tyler. 903.566.7008   http://www.uttyler.edu/housing

Student Life & Leadership

Whether a student is interested in attending new student orientation, participating in student government, becoming active in one of approximately 80 student organizations and clubs, developing personal leadership potential, becoming a member of a Greek community or just wanting to find out the latest event sponsored by the College Activities Board, this is the office that serves as the hub for student life.  903.565.5645   http://www.uttyler.edu/studentdev

Community Relations
The Office of Community Relations coordinates community service opportunities on campus and in the surrounding community. The service opportunities promote leadership development in addition to providing a broader awareness of social issues.  This office sponsors a community-wide volunteer fair each semester so that students may meet with representatives from non-profit agencies to learn more about their services and clients. The contact information for area non-profit agencies and current volunteer opportunities is available on the Community Relations homepage. 903.566.7050   http://www.uttyler.edu/community

Parent Resource Center

The Parent Resource Center serves as a centralized point for parents and families of students to more fully share in the college experience of their student. Special parent events are included during Freshman Orientation and during Homecoming activities.  A parent's web site provides information on current events and special opportunities. 903.566.7050   http://www.uttyler.edu/parentcenter

Career Services

The Office of Career Services assists students and alumni to identify personal interests and strengths, select and evaluate career opportunities related to the educational major and to evaluate national trends and forecasts on career options. Students may request assistance in the development of a resume and cover letter and are encouraged to participate in Mock Interviews to strengthen interview skills.  Students and alumni may research prospective employment opportunities in the Career Resource Library. Students may self-register to an online database of jobs listings that include campus employment at PatriotJobs, using their UT Tyler student ID.  Students may also access 1,500+ Occupational Vault Industry Overviews and hiring information in the Vault Online Career Library website at http://www.uttyler.edu/careerservices/students.  Additionally, the Office of Career Services hosts special events throughout the year including Career Fairs, Career Success Seminars, a Dress for Success Student Fashion Show and an Etiquette Dinner.
