Dr. Fabac began his career as an electronics technician and instructor in the US Air Force. He taught and later served as the Dean of Students at the North Chicago High School. Upon completing his Doctoral Studies at the University of Illinois (Urbana/Champaign) became the Division Chairman for Industrial Programs at the El Paso Community College.  Prior to arriving at The University of Texas at Tyler, Dr. Fabac was the Manager of Instruction at the Datapoint Corporation in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Fabac currently teaches online courses in Human Resource Development.  Since arriving at the university, Dr. Fabac has been successfully involved in various grant writing activities which focus on workforce development.
