Dr. Greg G. Wang Joins HRD Faculty
Dr. Greg G. Wang will be joining The University of Texas at Tyler’s Department of Human Resource Development and Technology as an Associate Professor of Human Resource Development (HRD), Dr. Clayton Allen, Professor and Chair of the department, announced.

“We are excited and pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Greg Wang,” stated Dr. Allen. “With his experience and expertise as well as his international associations and accomplishments, he will be a valuable asset to this team as the department and student base expands.”

Most recently Dr. Wang has served on the faculty at Old Dominion University where he was an Associate Professor in HRD and earned tenure. He has also taught at James Madison University as an Associate Professor, and serves on the faculty at China’s Xi’an Jiatong University as a Guest Professor for the School of Management.

Dr. Wang has authored and co-authored several refereed publications in some of the top journals covering the field of HRD. His professional experience includes consulting for such Fortune 500 companies as IBM and Motorola, Inc., and such government agencies as the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security and the U.S. Navy. Wang belongs to many leading professional associations including the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). Dr. Wang is also the Founding Board Member and Treasurer for the Human Resource Development Accreditation Association (HRDAA), and is serving on the Editorial Board for Advances in Developing Human Resources until 2009.

Dr. Wang earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in education at China’s Yan’an University. He has earned a Master of Science degree in development economics from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as well as a Master of Arts degree in management from Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business. He earned his Doctoral degree in Human Resource Development at the Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Wang will officially join The University of Texas at Tyler faculty in the Fall of 2007.
