Graduate
Record Exam
The
GRE General Test measures analytical writing,
verbal, and quantitative skills that have
been acquired over a long period of time and
that are not related to any specific field
of study.
GRE Subject Tests measure achievement in specific
subject areas and assume undergraduate majors
or extensive background in those disciplines.
Subject tests may be taken in the following
areas: Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular
Biology; Biology; Chemistry; Computer Science;
Literature in English; Mathematics; Physics;
Psychology. The subject tests are
paper and pencil based and last 2 hrs. and
50 min.
It
is the responsibility of the student applying
for graduate school to check with the graduate
department in which they wish to enroll to
find out what tests are required by that department.
To
register for a GRE Subject Test,
you may come by UC 282 to pick up a registration
bulletin containing the mail-in registration
form.
GRE general tests are given only on the computer.

is Prometric Testing Center at 3200 Troup Highway #216 Tyler, TX (903) 5950652.
