UPDATED 8/3/18

The VA Has said we can certify all campus locations.

  • We will start CH33/CH31 certification for all locations on 8/2/18 in the order we received you request.
    • Provided your certification request is submitted accurately by 8/3/18
      • Your bill should be paid by the due date.
  • CH33 Requests submitted after 8/3/18 you must pay the bill if you still have a balance due on 8/23/18.
    • Check your my.uttyler account to see if you have a bill due.
    • Check your Student email and read all emails we send you completely.
    • Please do not contact us before the 4th week of class.
      • Calling us delays certification-ie when we will get to paying your bill and submit your enrollment to the VA.
      • Late request will be processed after CH30/35/1606
  • Certifications will have to be amended for zip code once the system is changed.
    • Houston and Palestine BAH Rates will be affected.
    • Please contact the VA about questions pertaining to BAH and Certification amendments when the zip codes are entered.
  1.  Forever GI Bill changes.
    1. BAH will be based on where classes are physically taken.
    2. The VA Enrollment Certification Computer System has to be modified to account for different campus locations for each class.
      1. It was supposed to be completed on 7/30 but has been delayed.
  2. CH. 31 VocRehab-Your VocRehab Councilor would be able to tell you if it will affect you.

  3. CH30/35/1606 processing will begin the first week of class.
  4. Nursing clinicals
    1. Are embedded as a lab in your classes and not as separate classes.
      1. As it stands now we cannot separate the class from the clinicals.
        1. You enroll in one class which contains both the class and an embedded lab.
        2. We understand on your class schedule you may see both class and lab but what matters is what you are enrolled in.
        3. You cannot be certified both for credit hours and work/clinical/internship hours for the same class.
      2. Labs which are separate have thier own normal class number and not a "L" at the end of the class which it is a lab for.
