Sending Pages for Approval
Users are set up in the approval process when moved to the new UT Tyler server. The UT Tyler web team approves pages very quickly and will send any recommendations back to the user as needed. If for any reason a page is not approved, the user will receive an email from the web team back through OU Campus with recommendations for the page in question.
Follow the instructions below to use the "send for approval" process. NOTE: As part of the migration process, all new users set up prior to migration will be set up with the same in approval process.
Once you are finished editing your page, select the "save" button, then you select "Send for Approval".
Next, you can send a message to the person who approves your page.
NOTE: Be sure to select Send external email. This will speed up the approval process.
You can view and compose messages from the Dashboard/Workflow section in OU Campus.
Remember, the approval process is not set up to slow down publishing pages, but to improve the quality of the UT Tyler site. Pages sent during the business day are typically approved quickly within the same business day.
