CHOICES
Peer Educators Advocating
Healthy Choices
CHOICES is a student organization open to any currently enrolled student that is focused on educating students at The University of Texas at Tyler about various health topics such as alcohol and other drug abuse, sexual assault, partner violence, sexual responsibility and others.
CHOICES strives to encourage responsible decision-making among students minimizing possible negative consequences of unhealthy behaviors.
CHOICES is a member of the BACCHUS Network, an international organization that focuses on the promotion of healthy choices with college students.
MEMBERSHIP - There is a $5.00 per year membership fee that contributes to various organization activities. However, to afford each student an opportunity to be a member, the fee may be waived for hardship reasons. Members may wish to complete Certified Peer Educator Training provided during the summer (as requested by group). Students who wish to attend training are eligible to be nationally certified through the BACCHUS Network as a peer educator.
