Holiday Health
The holidays are approaching, and although they can be great, they can also be stressful. Look at some of the suggestions below to help manage your health during the holidays.
- Develop a calendar to keep track of you and your family's
schedule
- Don't overload your calendar with activities that aren't fun or
required.
- Lean to say "No". Trying to please everyone all the time will
just lead to burnout.
- Forget about perfection. Remember what the holiday means
to you and don't stress about the things that may not turn out
exactly the way you had planned.
- Remember to keep exercising. It will not only help keep off
the holiday pounds, but it is also a great stress reliever.
- Watch your alcohol intake. A holiday can easily be ruined by
consequences related to poor decision-making.
- Take a breather. Work in at least 20 minutes a day to be
alone without distractions (rest, take a walk or a bubble bath,
do some relaxation exercises, read a good book).
