University Mothers Against Drunk Driving (UMADD)

The Mission of UMADD at The University of Texas at Tyler is:a collage of pictures of alcohol awareness events

  • To promote MADD’s mission to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking on campus.
  • To provide educational opportunities regarding underage drinking, impaired driving, alcohol poisoning and social networking websites to the campus community and to parents of underage students.
  • To develop and build leadership skills and opportunities for UT Tyler students that will benefit both the individual student and the university community as a whole.

 

Membership - There is a $5.00 per year membership fee that contributes to various organization activities. However, to afford each student an opportunity to be a member, the fee may be waived for hardship reasons. Members may wish to complete Certified Peer Educator Training provided during the summer (as requested by group). Students who wish to attend training are eligible to be nationally certified through the BACCHUS Network as a peer educator.
