UT Tyler Writing Center
Writing Center appointments start on the hour and last no more than 50 minutes. You are allowed to make up to two appointments per week, but no more. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, the time will open up for drop in tutorials.
We recommend you schedule an appointment ahead of time because we do get busy.
As of Fall 2015, we have a new online scheduling system. All students using the writing center will need to create an account with WCOnline. Once you have made this account, you can make, change, cancel, and update appointments online.
Visit WCOnline to register.
You can still call us at 903.565.5995. We can help you create your account or make your appointment for you/ If you need to leave a message, please leave a number (preferably local) so we can return your call.
You can also stop by the Writing Center (BUS 202) to make an appointment.
We can tutor you without an appointment ONLY if there is a tutor available during that time. These drop in tutorials happen on a first come, first served basis.
You can also email us at email@example.com
Writing Center Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
Preparing for an Appointment
We expect you to bring a copy of your paper, as much as you have written at least, as well as a copy of your assignment from class. You tutor will talk through the assignment with you as well as ask you what your concerns are in your writing. A discussion of what you have written will also take place. While the tutors may direct you to areas of concern that you do not mention, the majority of any tutorial will be given to your questions and concerns, so be prepared to ask questions.
