Office of Academic Affairs
Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs at The University of Texas at Tyler. We take great pride in a tradition of offering innovative academic programs, knowledgeable and caring faculty members, and engaging research and service opportunities.
The role of the Office of Academic Affairs is to ensure that the university's educational mission is carried out by exercising administrative responsibility for planning, implementing and overseeing academic programs to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and research initiatives. Academic Affairs also provides services and support to help the six academic colleges and other academic units advance the mission of the university.
Our office works together to develop programs to improve the quality of teaching and learning, encourage and support faculty research and creative scholarship, and promote meaningful service to the region.
