Real GDP: FRED series A191RL1Q225SBEA, percent change from the preceding quarter at a seasonally adjusted annual rate. Values are displayed as published by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

CPI-U: BLS series CUSR0000SA0, seasonally adjusted. The dashboard calculates month-over-month percent change only when consecutive monthly CPI-U index levels are available, rounds to one decimal, and leaves unavailable changes blank. October and November 2025 are unavailable due to the 2025 lapse in appropriations.

Unemployment: FRED series UNRATE, TXUR, and TYLE348UR. Rates are displayed as published for the United States, Texas, and Tyler metropolitan area.

Nonfarm payrolls: FRED series PAYEMS. Monthly job change is calculated as the current employment level minus the preceding month's level and is reported in thousands of jobs.

Regional employment growth: Tyler uses FRED series TYLSA158MFRBDAL, published as a monthly percent change at an annual rate. Texas uses TX0000000M175FRBDAL employment levels, converted to a comparable annualized monthly growth rate.

Median listing price change: FRED series MEDLISPRIMM46340, a monthly percent change for the Tyler CBSA from Realtor.com. It is not a dollar-level median price. Realtor.com revised its inventory methodology in 2022, so users should review the source notes when comparing older releases.

Mortgage rates: FRED series MORTGAGE30US and MORTGAGE15US, weekly U.S. averages from Freddie Mac.

Tyler-area municipal sales tax: Sum of monthly net payments reported for Tyler, Lindale, Whitehouse, Bullard, Troup, Noonday, Arp, Winona, and New Chapel Hill. This is a custom nine-city aggregation and is not the Census definition of the Tyler MSA.

Texas tax revenue: Texas Comptroller all-funds monthly revenue, excluding trusts, grouped into the categories shown. Texas fiscal years run from September through August. Months not yet published are shown as unavailable rather than estimated.

County and MSA comparison: County Health Rankings Texas files are used for annual health and community indicators. MSA results aggregate the available component-county values using the measure-specific logic documented in the download.

Demographics: U.S. Census Bureau ACS 5-Year point estimates from B01003, B01002, B01001, and B03002. The race and ethnicity profile uses mutually exclusive categories so each resident appears once; Hispanic or Latino includes people of any race.

Education: C15002 race and ethnicity table groups describe the population age 25 and older. B15001 describes attainment by age for the population age 18 and older. The dashboard combines detailed categories into no high school diploma, high school diploma, some college or associate's degree, and bachelor's degree or higher.

Regional employment comparison: ACS tables S2301, S2403, and S2411. S2411 reports median earnings in the past 12 months for civilian employed people age 16 and older with earnings. Detailed S2411 rows are labeled with corresponding 2018 SOC major codes. Census publishes the SOC 53 transportation and material-moving estimates separately; the dashboard preserves both subgroups because a combined median cannot be calculated from subgroup medians. Military occupations are outside the civilian universe. S2403 industry counts are divided by total civilian employment age 16 and older to calculate shares; the chart annotates that denominator automatically. Earnings are not hourly wages or adjusted for local cost of living. Geography type, year, units, and source table should remain part of any downloaded or cited result.

Source agencies can revise historical observations, definitions, seasonal adjustments, and geographic boundaries. Different indicators may refer to cities, counties, metropolitan areas, the state, or the nation; geography labels should not be treated as interchangeable.

Downloaded CSV files preserve the displayed values but users should cite the original agency and series or table identifier. PNG exports are communication aids and should be accompanied by source, period, geography, and retrieval date.
