Undergraduate Advising

Pre-Business Core

Transfer and freshmen students who are admitted to UT Tyler and interested in pursuing a BBA degree will initially be admitted as pre-business (PBUS). Prior to admission to the BBA program students must request to be formally admitted and must meet with a business advisor to complete an initial degree plan.

Students will be officially admitted to the bachelor of business administration program only after they have satisfactorily completed 30 hours with a 2.0 GPA and the pre-business core requirements. Students must maintain an overall grade point average of 2.0 and receive a "C" or higher in each of the pre-business core classes listed below to be admitted to the BBA program.
