Brookshire's Consumer Insights Lab

UT Tyler has partnered with Brookshire Grocery Company to develop the first-of-its-kind consumer insights lab, which will provide a hands-on experience for students interested in retail management.
The lab consists of 16 student computer stations, one instructor station and one point-of-sale register system with connections to the student computers and Brookshire Grocery Company to facilitate project management and implementation. Two gondola merchandise fixtures for student practice of visual merchandising concepts complete the lab.
Brookshire Grocery Company has led the retail industry contributions with equipment and labor donations. Other contributors include Texas Retailers Education Foundation, NCR point-of-sale and RedPrairie of Soft-Grocer Software System.
