Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

About Us

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is dedicated to the advancement of best practices in teaching and learning at The University of Texas at Tyler. The CETL provides workshops, seminars, and retreats for faculty and staff throughout the year to promote research-based, inclusive, and engaging teaching in order to enhance the academic success of UT Tyler students.

Every year, the CETL supports new ideas in the classroom through the Innovative Teaching Award. The CETL also supports our Academy of Distinguished Teachers and our Association of College and University Educators fellows and the Learning Cohorts. Information on our upcoming events can be found on the Professional Development Calendar. Past workshop recordings can be found on the UT Tyler Professional Development Canvas Page. You can find out more information about these initiatives by clicking on the respective links on the left hand menu.
