Biography

Dr. Robinson received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Houston-Downtown and the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.  He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).  He currently serves as a member of the Electrical Engineering faculty for the University of Texas at Tyler and as Interim Director for the Houston Engineering Center.  His primary duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, student advising, recruiting and overseeing Houston Engineering Center operations.  He has many years of industry experience in various positions in Information Technology and Engineering.  He has given hundreds of free tutoring hours to high school and college students for many years.  Dr. Robinson actively seeks out opportunities that will help others such as volunteering MathCounts, becoming a faculty mentor for the UT System Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation and being a faculty advisor for the UT Tyler IEEE student chapter.
