Biography
Dr. Shin finished his Ph.D. at Texas A&M University in Finance. He has previously
taught at the University of Texas-Pan American. Dr. Shin studies the firm’s credit
risk analysis and the design of debt claims. His primary current research interests
are asset sell-off, corporate restructuring, a firm’s debt choice within bank-centered
financial markets, and the dynamics of relationships between banks and firms.
Teaching and Research Interests
Dr. Shin's primary teaching interests are International Finance, Financial Management,
and Managerial Finance. His research has focused on corporate debt structuring, firm
distress management, asset restructuring, and a bank-centered market.
