Teaching and Research Interests
Professor Bushardt’s primary teaching interest is in the area of Organizational Behavior with an emphasis on critical thinking within a global environment. His research and publications have focused on organizational culture, organizational effectiveness, behaviorism, sociobiology and mentoring.
Professor Bushardt joined the faculty at The University of Texas at Tyler in the summer
of 2010. Prior to his arrival he was a faculty member of Spring Hill College, The
University of Southern Mississippi, Mississippi State University and St. Andrews Presbyterian
College. During his career he has served as Director of Graduate Programs, Chair of
the Department of Management and Management Information and Professor of Management.
Dr. Bushardt is Emeritus Professor of Management at The University of Southern Mississippi.
He has been the recipient of several teaching and research awards during his thirty-six year career in academia. His research has appeared in the publications of Human Relations, Group and Organizational Studies, Journal of Management History, Health Care Management Review, Journal of Organizational Culture, Communication and Conflict, Business Horizons and others.
