Dr. Jessica Wooster, Pharm.D, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ben and Maytee
Fisch College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Tyler. She received her Doctor
of Pharmacy from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee
and completed her PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency at Midwestern University College
of Pharmacy in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Wooster’s practice areas include community pharmacy, ambulatory care, and transitions of care. Her research and scholarship interests include establishing the pharmacist’s role in transitions of care, cardiovascular disease and diabetes management with an emphasis on therapeutic lifestyle changes, and medication therapy management in all healthcare settings. She enjoys precepting students during advanced pharmacy practice experiences and has had experience precepting rotations in pharmacy management and leadership, community pharmacy, cardiology, and transitions of care.
She is currently a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA). During her time at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy, she served as the faculty co‐advisor for American Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ASHP) Student Societies of Health System Pharmacy. She currently serves as a mentor in the APhA Diabetes Management Student Interest Group (SIG) Mentoring program and mentors in the New Practitioner Network program. She plans to stay involved at a local and national level with pharmacy organizations to help impact the future of the profession.
