Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?

UT Tyler was convenient and priced right. I work full time, so a program that was able to accommodate my work schedule was essential. Additionally, the combination of online and in-person courses gave me the chance to take classes at my own pace, whether that was on my own or a more structured environment.

What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them?

Ultimately I aspire to be an infectious disease physician. My graduate program supports that goal by giving me the skills to navigate the world of public health. It also increases my exposure to a wide range of experts in the field. Furthermore, it has given me a great opportunity to design and implement original research.

What do you like most about UT Tyler?

The best things about UT Tyler are the small class sizes and the dedication the professors have to helping their students excel. I've never really seen a program before where the students are the primary investigator on research projects - which is a very valuable experience for anyone.
