What attracted you to this field?
I’m dedicated to being a lifelong learner and the challenge of “what’s next?” So,
with the ever changing aspects of healthcare (reimbursements, underinsured, and disparities)
I wanted to be better equipped through knowledge to care for the patients and community
that I serve!
Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?
It’s close to home and you have the opportunity to know your instructors on a personal perspective.
What do you like most about UT Tyler?
It’s affordable and I have developed lifelong relationships with the UT Tyler Nursing Faculty.
What are your career aspirations?
It’s my desire to continue working within the North Tyler community/health system as a servant through nursing practice.
What’s your work experience?
I have been a Staff Development Educator at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances for 13 years. Before that I was a Clinical Specialist and Staffing Coordinator.
Do you have any advice to pass along to other students interested in this program?
Nursing Programs (BSN, MSN, FNP, and DNP) require dedication to study and compassion for the patients and students that you will encounter. Continue to ask yourself “What’s next in my nursing career?” because nursing will open doors beyond your imagination.
