Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?

I chose UT Tyler because it was an academically based school that had a really good business program. I knew coming in to college that I wanted a business degree but wasn’t positive on the exact route I wanted to take. The accounting program and professors at UT Tyler were a very big part in why I decided to pursue my accounting degree and I couldn’t be happier about that decision!

What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them?

After graduation, I plan to sit for the CPA exam and continue working in the tax area of public accounting. My graduate program is helping me attain my goals by helping me prepare and meet the requirements to be able to sit for the CPA exam.

What do you like most about UT Tyler?

My favorite thing about UT Tyler is the gorgeous campus in the fall and the friendly faces. It is a neat thing to go through both my undergraduate career and graduate career at the same University so you get used to seeing the same people in all of your classes, it gives you a good support system. You learn together, struggle together, and achieve your goals together.
