Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?

After visiting other schools and doing much research, I decided to apply to The University of Texas at Tyler because of their stellar reputation and the excellent reviews I read and heard from both current and former students.

What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them?

Having come from a small community in Africa with not enough health resources, I knew from the first time I heard about the Health Science program that it was the correct career path for me. My undergraduate education has also prepared me for this career path. The Health Science program will help me acquire the knowledge and necessary skills that I need to help my community and my country. Helping to make the world a healthier place is my long-term goal and I believe that UT Tyler is the perfect place to prepare and help me achieve my goal. My graduate program/department is so supportive and they do anything to make sure students achieve their goals. My professors always encourage students to do what they love and to be passionate about it.

What do you like most about UT Tyler?

UT Tyler has dedicated faculty who are always available to help students. My professors are so understanding and I love working with them. The UT Tyler family makes me feel like this is my home away from home. And last but not least, I can’t forget to thank the graduate office. They work along with you to make sure your financial problems are solved.
