This scholarship will help me to finance my studies and complete my degree in a timely manner.

What is your favorite part about UT Tyler?

After finishing my bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, I took some time off to rest. When the time came to make my ‘short list’ of graduate schools I decided to include UT Tyler in the list; then, after receiving my acceptance letter, I visited the campus and met with faculty and found that I had made the right decision. I found the faculty to be extremely professional, welcoming and accommodating. I had found my new academic home.

What is your goal after graduation?

After graduation, I would like to join a structural engineering firm as an Engineer in Training (EIT) for a couple of years and then, eventually, return to school to complete a doctoral degree.
