Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?
The caliber of the faculty for computer science are some of the best in the world. Not only do the faculty have backgrounds in programming and algorithms, but they are also very unique backgrounds in machine learning, computer vision, database systems and cybersecurity. Due to this diversity of skills, I am confident that my computer science degree will give me a sufficient depth of exposure to these subjects.
What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them?
Some of my career goals are to promote ethics in the use of artificial intelligence and be a part of the creation of humanitarian frameworks in a potential future where automation may replace undesirable number of human jobs. This graduate program is critical for developing the foundation of understandings that would be required on this journey.
What do you like most about UT Tyler?
It is one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever seen. Plus, it offers an opportunity to explore a semi-urban life.
