Why did you choose to attend UT Tyler?

The faculty at UT Tyler have supported and encouraged me through two previous degrees and serve as an inspiration to me. The expert staff are readily available to assist and problem solve through every step of the program. Administration does an excellent job keeping students informed and involved. As a doctoral student, I feel like I have an entire family at UTT Nursing ready to help in any way. When I attend events on campus, I feel like I am home. I am very proud of my school and honored to be a student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

What are your career goals and how does your graduate program support them?

Working on a DNP is teaching me a new way to approach problem-solving. I am learning evidence-based practice in the most genuine and applicable way. My hope is that this new knowledge and experience will help me grow to be the very best Family Nurse Practitioner that I can be for my patients, my family, my friends, and my community. I will use my education and expertise to help however I am called to serve.

What do you like most about UT Tyler?

I am pursuing my third degree at UT Tyler and it is all because of the people. My professors, the administration, and the staff make me feel like a valuable part of the UT Tyler family.
