New Graduate Student Orientation
You’ve made one of the most important decisions in your life by choosing to pursue graduate study, and we’re glad you chose to do so at The University of Texas at Tyler. We want to welcome you to UT Tyler and help get your graduate experience off to the right start! All new graduate students are encouraged (but not required) to attend the New Graduate Student Orientation held each fall. If you are an online student, you can access the online orientation with the left hand navigation links and with the Powerpoint links below to help get your graduate experience off to the right start.
Fall 2015 Orientation will be held in the University Center (UC) Ballroom, 3rd floor. Register here

9:00 am - 2:00 pm (Sign-in/breakfast begins at 8:30)
The University of Texas at Tyler campus is located in Tyler's southeast corner. Exit Loop 323 onto University Blvd. (Spur 248), then head east on University Blvd. until you get to Old Omen Road (approximately 2 miles). Take a left onto Old Omen Road and you will see the main entrance to the campus on your left (approximately 1/2 mile).
Park in parking lot #3; the University Center will be straight ahead. The Ballroom is located on the 3rd floor.
For online students and those who can’t attend in person, we hope that this Graduate Student Orientation website will help get you acquainted with the University and the services available to you. The site allows you to go through the Graduate Student Orientation at your own convenience, and can be used as an online reference for any questions you may have during your time at the University.
