Application Fee

First-time international applicants have an application fee of $150. This includes $50 document processing fee and $100 tuition deposit, which is non-refundable.

Descriptions of cost and costs for eight-week sessions and short one- to three-week seminars are listed below. Session costs are based on 21 hours of face-to-face classroom time per week ($250/week).

Descriptions of Costs

Application Fee: $50 USD (non-refundable)

Tuition Deposit: $100 USD (non-refundable tuition deposit only for first-time application. Deposit is applied to tuition cost of students first session.)

Tuition Includes: placement testing; orientation program; 21 class hours each week; social activities; learner management system (LMS); practice TOEFL examinations (for students in good standing); and advising.

IELI Fees include:  records (transcripts and enrollment certification); basic computer and internet access; authentic learning excursions.

Mandatory Insurance/Clinic Fees: University Clinic Access Fee $35 per semester. Health insurance varies by session and semester. Students can also choose to have dental insurace for an extra fee by informing IELI billing staff at student orientation.

Optional University of Texas at Tyler Fee:  $10 per month for access to the Recreational Facility. Once student has arrived, they should go to the HPC to sign up and pay directly to the facility. This is not included on the IELI invoice.

Specialty Seminars

Seminars are $180/week (15 hour instructional week); fee includes books.

Half-sessions

Tuition for half-sessions (4 weeks) is $1,000 plus fees and insurance. For a student to participate in a half-session, IELI administration must be notified at time of application, but no later than the Friday before classes begin.

Delegations

Pro-rated fees will apply to short-term classroom experiences for individual students or groups/delegations based on the standard $250/week rate for 21 class hours of instruction each week. For more information contact ieli@uttyler.edu.
